What is the Employee Retention Credit (ERC)?
The ERC is a refundable tax credit/refund that businesses can claim on qualified wages, including certain health insurance costs, paid during the pandemic.
There are two ways for an employer to qualify for the ERC. (1) Your business experienced a requisite decline in revenue during 2020 or 2021 compared to the comparable quarter in 2019; (2) your business was at least partially suspended due to COVID related government orders.
